Heading into Monday's market, cattlemen will be eyeing showlists, trying to
gauge what demand will be.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

Friday's market led the livestock contracts to a higher close as the market
received ample fundamental support, especially in the cash cattle market. Hog
prices closed lower on the Daily Direct Afternoon Hog Report, down $2.76 with a
weighted average of $124.43 on 6,019 head. December corn is up 3 3/4 cents per
bushel and December soybean meal is down $15.60. The Dow Jones Industrial
Average is up 76.65 points.
