Cattle and calves on feed for the slaughter market in the United States for feedlots with capacity of 1,000 or more head totaled 11.1 million head on September 1, 2018, USDA reported Friday.
December corn was down 1/4 cents, November soybeans were up 5 cents, and December K.C. wheat was down 2 1/4 cents.
Firm pressure is likely to develop in most contracts with traders still focusing on growing supplies in cattle trade, while the release of the Cold Storage report will bring about increased market weakness Tuesday.
