New Row Crops Pressed Lower, Anticipating Rain
December corn closed down 7 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 21 3/4
cents Tuesday, pressured a third day by broad rain coverage in the forecast for
next week. Winter wheat also closed lower with less support from corn, but
September Minneapolis wheat ended slightly higher, still looking at a mostly
dry forecast in the northwestern U.S. Plains.

July corn closed up 8 1/4 cents and December corn was down 7 1/2 cents. July
soybeans closed down 6 1/2 cents and November soybeans were down 21 3/4 cents.
July KC wheat closed down 15 1/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was down 13 cents
and September Minneapolis wheat was up 1 1/4 cents. The September U.S. Dollar
Index is trading down 0.01 at 90.48. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down
73.15 points at 34,320.60. August gold is down $7.70 at $1,858.20, July silver
is down $0.29 at $27.75 and July copper is down $0.1850. July crude oil is up
$1.22 at $72.10, July heating oil is up $0.0006, July RBOB gasoline is down
$0.0017 and July natural gas is down $0.108.
